Description
The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 ‘Jackie Robinson’ pays tribute to the iconic athlete who broke Major League Baseball’s color barrier in 1947. Ken Griffey Jr.’s debut signature shoe is clad in a black leather upper with contrasting white accents. Each adjustable ankle strap is marked with Robinson’s jersey number and inscribed with one of his inspirational quotes. Embossed on the left strap is text that reads ‘There’s not an American in this country free until every one of us is free.’ On the right, ‘A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives.
