Description

Crafted in partnership with the French luxury fashion house, the Maison Margiela x Reebok Club C ‘Black’’ updates the retro trainer with the former’s trompe-l’oeil design from the 1996 Spring/Summer collection. The low-top makes use of an upper constructed from a single piece of flat leather, finished in black and printed with a scanned image of the original Club C shoe. The result is a unique 2D optical illusion effect, complemented by signature Margiela flourishes that include stitched detailing on the heel tab and three orderly rows of numbers on the woven tongue tag.

The first Sneakersnstuff opened in March 1999, selling exactly what the name suggests: sneakers and stuff. Originally SNS was a sporting goods store before, in true ’90s style, they began ordering kicks from a sports catalog. Founded by Erik Fagerlind and Peter Jansson, Sneakersnstuff was born of frustration at Stockholm’s lack of alternatives to big retail chains.
